Simply put, he is the most successful and decorated solo performer the sport has known, acknowledged as such by criitcal acclaim and voted Man of the Millennium by speedway followers.

unparalleled life story with co-author Martin Rogers.

During the seventies & eighties Ivan Mauger, who hails from New Zealand and now lives in Australia rode for several English teams. Wimbledon Dons, Newcastle Diamonds, Belle Vue Aces, Exeter Falcons, and Hull Vikings.

His six World champion Speedway wins have only been equalled recently by Tony Rickardsson but Ivan has also got four 1000m Longtrack titles to make him the most successful rider ever seen in this exciting motorcycle sport.
