Kenny Roberts History
King Kenny was an American dirt track racer before coming to the tarmac track. He rode works Harley Davidsons and Yamaha where he honed the sliding style which is commonly used in Moto GP, World Superbikes and all manner of road racing. Without grasstrack, short track and board racing, many of the brilliant riders on the world stage would not be the spectacle you see today.

Eddie Lawson began his motorcycle racing career in the Southern California dirt track circuit.
He went road racing when it became increasingly difficult to find machinery able to compete with the dominant Harley Davidsons,
Sam Ermelenko rode for Sheffield in 1996, Belle Vue 1997 before returning to Wolverhampton in 1998. In 1999 he helped Hull in their short stint in the top league before returning to Wolves in 2000 and 2001. In 2002 he had another spell at Belle Vue and at the age of 42 he again rejoined parent club, Wolverhampton for the 2003 and 2004 season before spending his final season at Peterborough in 2005. In 2006 he staged a Farewell meeting at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green stadium. It was a fitting tribute to one of the sports greatest ever riders.
Sam currently works with Kelvin Tatum for Sky Sports in the UK as a trackside reporter and both occasionally work inside the studio. Apart from his TV career, he now builds and tunes engines for the top riders
Simon Wigg was a speedway, grasstrack and Longtrack rider who finished runner-up in the Speedway World Championship in 1989.
He was the most successful British Grasstrack and Longtrack rider ever.
